Port keats sawfish bark painting
Lovely almost Kimberley style Port keats sawfish bark painting

Object type: Bark painting
Locality: Port Keats
Artist: Attributed to Nym Bunduk
Circa: 1960’s
Length: 76 cm
Description: The shape of the bark leaves little doubt that this bark painting is from the Port Keats area. The painting style is almost Kimberley with the white dots outlining the image of a fish and saw fish.
This is a lovely example of the naive almost cartoonish imagery found on early aboriginal art.
